Goodwill shopping

So as most of you that check out my blog regularly already know, I am not much for outfit posts. Reasons are 2 fold. I enjoy being behind the camera, not in front of it for the most part, and I do not think anyone would care to see my silly 1.5 minute long choice of outfit for the day which usually ends up looking sloppy and I realize half-way through the work day, is mismatched or clashing. Oh well, I never have time to make my self look good in the mornings so the only time I do is on the weekend.

ANYWAYS, my husbie has been practicing with photography a lot lately since he will be second shooting a wedding in Japan with me this year, and he took a few shots of me near sunset. I was wearing a recent Goodwill find sweater that I am obsessed with. 2 dollars and I love it!!!! I never really have good luck with finding stuff at Goodwill, but I did with this one. 

I really enjoyed the chevron pattern patch on the sleeve. I think that was my favorite part! Have a great weekend everyone :)

11 Things

Well, I keep getting tagged in these posts (most recently by Mandy of Miss Indie) so I am finally going to get to it! I did one a few months ago, but these are always fun. Thanks for the tag Miss Indie, Adalou Vintage, and everyone else who has tagged me over the past few weeks.

11 Random Things:

1. I have been collecting old books (pre-1930's) since I was 10!
2. I'm obsessed with any food/recipe/etc. that involves feta cheese.
3. Ever since I can possibly remember, I was ALWAYS drawn to turquoise/teal colored things.
4. I sleep with a fan going all night long..... reasons are 2 fold. I like the white noise because it drowns out any little noises the house makes in the night that might startle me and it covers up my husband's snoring :P
5. I'm obsessed with cleaning supplies. I love the cleaning aisle at the supermarket. I get pretty excited when I have to buy more cleaners.
6. I'm SO stealing this one from Mandy. I still listen to the Spice Girls ALL the time!
7. I play the guitar and sing A LOT when no one is home. I don't like people hearing me play or sing.
8. I am pee-my-pants terrified of bugs. Any bugs. They all scare me to no extent. If I accidentally touch one or squish one I will cry and scream incessantly for an extended period of time. I hate them.
9. I'm recently a player of Minecraft and LOVING it! ;)
10. Spring and fall are tied for my favorite seasons but a large part of the reason I love spring is putting out those tiny fuzzy chicks you get in the Easter decorations at the store. 
11. I had never had a piercing until I was 21. And my ears is all I have done.

1. What were you like in high school? A, I wore black or dark colors every day (people called me goth but I was NOT). I was timid around a lot of people, but I was loud and obnoxious with my friends, which is pretty much how I am now. I listened to a lot of punk rock and went to concerts a lot. I loved shopping and to be honest, I was pretty much just like I am now (with exception of all black clothes all the time).
2. If you could live in a movie for a day, which movie would you pick and why? Oh geez, this is SUCH a hard question to answer. Probably the Passion of the Christ or Pride and Prejudice!
3. What is the one thing you can cook better than anyone else? I've been told Fettuccine Alfredo ;)
4. You're planning your dream vacation. Where do you go, what do you do? Loch Ness and find my favorite sea serpent. Hopefully. ;)
5. What is your favorite drink from Starbucks (or your favorite coffee shop)? White Mocha Frap with caramel drizzle and caramel syrup.
6. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? A lot of things. A gymnast, a cashier (cause I wanted to press buttons all day), an artist, an interior decorator, a singer, and a cryptozoologist. 
7. What is your favorite memory with a friend or family member? TOO many to list. One that comes to mind is the first moment I started liking Grant, my now husband. We were in youth group and he was being a flirt as his manner was with me and he walked past me and ran his hand through my hair. I remember thinking "Oh crap, I like him." Hahahaha! I didn't want to like anyone at that time, but it was too late :P
8. If you could dye your hair any color(s), which would you choose? Cotton candy colors. Light teal and bubblegum pink!
9. Who would win in a fight between a grilled cheese sandwich and a taco? GRILLED CHEESE!
10. What is something embarrassing that has happened to you? Oh my. Too many to list. 
11. How would you describe your personal style? Relaxed, unique and ever-changing!
