My friend Lindsay has been making art journals for her babies' birthdays for years and I've always admired how sweet and thoughtfully put together they are. I've never been much of a scrapbooker, but I decided to do a scrapbook style art journal for our baby girl on the way. I decided to start it with her first moments from when we found out and all the adventures we've had together while she's been growing in my belly (like Iceland, Cancun, etc.). It's been really fun planning and deciding what all to include. I actually wanted to have a big part of it done before this Saturday so I could bring it to my baby shower and have everyone sign a dedicated page in the book. I'm really thrilled with how it turned out and can't stop looking through it.
I snagged the art journal and washi tape from Michaels, the antique card on the front was from Etsy, and I included stickers and some cut outs from my Mab Graves paper dolls book throughout. Instead of buying a bunch of scrapbook paper, I hand painted watercolor backgrounds to use for a lot of the pages and I also used ripped pages from an old Golden Book called The Naughty Bunny. Cheap and unique! My brother has a sweet printer and also printed off elements for me to include throughout the book. Very excited to keep adding to it! <3
Aww really sweet! Many many wishes for healthy pregnancy and baby :)
