Back in July, I painted a watercolor (click to see it HERE) for my friend's daughter Lane's 1st birthday! I had such fun doing it that I had to start planning another one. Adalay is turning 1 next month and so I started on this project last week. And just as I suspected, I couldn't possibly wait to give it to her.... so her present was delivered early last night.
Something about the 3D look of these shadow box paintings makes me happy. I can't wait to start a new one. I haven't really decided what yet. Any suggestions?
I lined out the whole image in black sharpie and then washed over with watercolors!
After it was dry, I covered the back layer painting with glitter and then dabbed bits of glitter onto the sprinkles. I used double sided sticky tape and cardboard to attach the painting in the box.
Well I'm off to edit the day away! Tomorrow I will be posting some pictures of our Holiday decor. I can't wait to share. See ya!
What an amazing piece of art!!

My kids really love playing with watercolors. They have painting sessions during weekends. I see in them innate passion for arts. I'm sure they are close to achieve beautiful works as presented above.
Love you kids!

The perfect taste of the cupcake is perfectly illustrated here. It means that the painter of this is very much effective in conveying the message of this artwork.
