After seeing this offer from Modcloth before and regretting my chance at grabbing one, I went nuts and got 4 surprises from Modcloth during their most recent Stylish Surprise sale.
If you haven't heard of it, what Modcloth does is gets your size, you pay 15 dollars per item and they send you a mystery article of clothing. Could be a shirt, skirt or dress ranging in retail price. Some items may be worth over $250! I decided to take my chances and hope for lots of dresses. And I sure wasn't disappointed. Out of 4 mystery surprises, 3 of them were dresses (all of which fit perfectly).
Want to see how they all looked? Here I am modeling each piece for my husband outside.
The first was my very favorite. I love the length of the sleeves, the color and print. I never realized how much I love that shade of tan brown because I never buy it! It's such a comfy dress. Couldn't have been more satisfied with it!
The second is a cardigan and dress combo. My one non-dress item was this adorable little white cardigan. A nice staple and one I surprisingly didn't already own. Loved it!
The third was almost my favorite. This is the most comfy of all the dresses and probably the most flattering. It's a style that could work for pretty much anyone. You might not be able to tell quite well in the shot, but the dress was a dark navy blue with poka dots covering it. Loved this one! No complaints.
The fourth is the same dress from the second picture, but without the cardigan. This was my least favorite. I ADORE the ruffles, the pattern and the black and white colors, however, I felt that the neckline and straps were a bit unflattering. It felt ultra high on my neck and actually made it uncomfortable for my arm pit area when I layed my arms to the side. It fits everywhere else perfectly and goes so well with that cardigan. Just not a fan of it on it's own.
Thanks Modcloth! I will definitely be doing this again next time ;)

WOW, I didn't know that they did that. You were so lucky to get mostly dresses. That is what I would want also. They all look so awesome on you! Saw your guest post on Kitty's blog today, beautiful images. I didn't know that place was in Indiana either. (I am from Ohio.) Have a great weekend.

Oh my gosh, I'm so jealous of the stuff you got in your surprise! They are all so cute! Last time they did the Stylish Surprise, I got two dresses, which were kind of cute but they looked terrible on me and I ended up giving them to Goodwill :(
Posted by: Kelsi | Friday, July 06, 2012 at 17:09
Oh bummer : / that sucks!

How cool! I didn't realize they did that! I haven't been shopping online lately due to the lack of cash, but $15 a piece isn't bad at all! And such pretty dresses! ♥

Oooh! So jealous! By the time I saw the last go around they'd already sold out of my size! I am dying over the dresses you got! I couldn't think of anything better to get, and all for $60! What a bargain! I bet one of those dresses costed AT LEAST that much!

I looked them all up and one of them was 80!!!

Ah! I'm so tempted to do it! These choices are fabulous. I love every single one of them! The 1950's homemaker is my favorite. I think I'm gonna do it! They're offering it again. :)
