I have a super strong love and connection to Peeta and Katniss' character's (you can ask my husband, he had to watch me as I read all the books and cry and scream and smile out of nowhere in a quiet room). So much so that I wanted since I read the first book to photograph my own stylized Hunger Games shoot. And as I suspected, I was not alone...many others had used the concept for faux weddings and other stylized sessions. I had a BLAST seeing all the different interpretations, but I wanted try my take on it. One of my personal favorite interpretations was posted HERE on the blog about a month ago.
I had the great pleasure of photographing Danielle Redden and Eli Parker in this stylized Hunger Games shoot. These two are a couple in real life which made things SO easy! I had a blast planning and I couldn't possibly have done it all without the help of Jean Loper Photography and Danielle!
It was quite the chilly day and they were both SUCH troopers running around in t-shirts at some points. But enough of me talking...I will be posting a BEHIND THE SCENES of this Hunger Games shoot within the next 2 weeks so stay tuned. I will go into more details then!
Your photos are absolutely gorgeous! I love your interpretation of Katniss and Peeta, I've not read the books (only watched the film) but I expected them to look the way you interpreted them as. Such a good job! :) xx

I love this! Especially the part where you said your husband had listen to you gasp while he sat in the same room as you. When I was reading them I would all of a sudden shout out loud or cheer and it would freak Chris out. hahahah
