My poor baby Marshmallow has been turned into a lady bug! Yesterday, after a very unhappy trip to the groomer, she was unfortunately outfitted in sweaters. Little Marshmallow had to have her pretty fluff fur shaved because of some matting near her tail. My little puppy went into her first heat last month and inevitably wore diapers for 3 weeks. This caused some matting near her tail and back which I COULD NOT GET OUT! She has, what the groomer calls, the worst kind of dog hair to manage. It is SO soft, so light and not oily in the slightest (so basically perfect), BUT apparently this combo is hard to groom.
It was so awful trying to comb those spots out of her and as I has expected, the groomer wanted to shave her down. I guess this is a better scenario then to try and get the knots out by combing and hurting her. So to the sweater she goes! Until her little fur grows back in, she won't be running around out in the cold winter without this lady bug coat (which makes her look like a rich snot). On the plus side, she won't need to go to the groomer as soon as normal.
I have some pretty awesome plans for the next few Marshmallow Mondays so stay tuned! Your head just might explode from cuteness ;)
Since I started following your blog, my Mondays have been much more enjoyable thanks to Marshmallow.

Bahaha that's sweet. She is the sweetest dog I've ever known. She's a lot like a cat in some ways. She LOVES to cuddle in your lap and she's a very calm dog. Hardly ever barks. I love her :)

Poor Marshmallow :( At least she still looks as cute and darling as ever. I can't wait to see what cuteness you've whipped up for next week. As if she could get any cuter than this?!

She HATES the sweaters but I think give it a couple days and she will forget she is wearing them (just like the diapers). I would rather it be this way then for her to get overly cold. When I take the sweater off, she shakes really bad and curls up under a blanket somewhere so I know it's necessary. Poor cutie pie!

She looks AWWWdoralbe as always! Sorry she had to get her hair cut short, in the winter it is so tough on the lil pups.

My heart can't even handle this.
I have my baby maltese, Scout, and we recently had to shave him down a bit, too.
