So out of the piles of DIYs I want to try myself, this one quickly rose to the top. It's quick, easy, cheap and really unique. I used some lyrics from one of my favorite songs "You had me at hello" by A Day to Remember. No, it's not cause I like Jerry Maguire... I stole the idea from Elsie over at A Beautiful Mess! Click here to see her step by step. It's a really simple process!
Here's what you'll need to get started:
- An old, unwanted painting (like a paint by number, a bad painting from middle school, or (in my case) a dollar store Van Gogh painting.
- Letter stickers
- White paint
- Paint brush
I let the paint dry for about 4 hours before I tried removing the stickers. When removing them, be really gentle. The paint did seep under the stickers a bit, but from far away, it looks pretty good. I would suggest trying a white spray paint? You might have better luck that way. :)
This looks great!! I have wanted to do this for awhile and kept forgetting. Now I really want to do it.

Yeah, I've had that page on a beautiful mess bookmarked for sooo long wanting to do it. It really only took me like 15 minutes. The hard part was just finding the painting to use.

I love this DIY. It's very simple but very cute at the same time. Also, I love the fact that you used an A Day to Remember song. I interviewed their bass player for an article, a few months back, and he was a cool dude.

I did this too, but I didn't use song lyrics. I used a bible verse. Here's the results:
