It was just hilariously cute that we thought we'd have all the painting done by now. Hilarious! Or that we would be really close to finished with the house projects. I'd say we are over half way done now. Probably close to three quarters, but there's only one room finished at this point. And it's still junked up with tools and crap all over the fireplace. I was so excited to share before and afters with you all, but considering that the room is still a mess, it will have to wait until next week :( But for now, I thought I would share a few snapshots from around the home.
I've finally been hanging pictures now that most of the walls are painted. Quickly running out of walls per usual. I have wayyyy too much art and framed pictures. I love having reminders of beautiful moments and creativity spread throughout the house. It's definitely more than decor to me. I'll just stare at a painting on the wall every day as I'm eating lunch. And because of timing, I never got to hang any pictures from Scotland at our old house. The last thing the future owner needed was another nail hole in the wall >_< So I refrained and saved them for the new house. I recently got this photo on an absolutely stunning panorama canvas from Mpix (below) after buying the same one for my mother-in-law for Christmas last year. I was SO crazy jealous and knew I would have to get one for our house eventually. I've been using Mpix for everything and sending all my clients that way for a few years now. I've never been disappointed with their prints and canvases. I'm such a big fan of the metallic paper prints. You'd think I worked for Mpix the way I gush about them to people. Seriously though, when you're a photographer and work so hard to get the perfect edit, it means a lot when the printed photo actually looks as intended. If you spend money on a photographer, have the photos professionally printed. Your photographer will be thankful and you won't regret that decision to spend just a few cents more than walgreens or CVS. Plus Mpix has incredible prices. Ok, I'll stop gushing now ;) P.S. You can get 25% gallery wraps right now!
I'm really loving the way everything is coming together in the house. Our kitchen is pretty close to done with only a light fixture change and a new cabinet door needed. It's my perfect cotton candy blue with white cabinets. Also, I'm obsessed with all the windows in this house. It's something I didn't think too much about before, but seriously, the windows are one of my favorite things about the house. Even considering that some of the glass is cracked...you'll have to pry the window frames out of my cold, dead hands.
