My office is a mess. Fabric, papers, toys, everything everywhere. It is also extremely plain. All the walls are white and all the furniture is white. I am pretty unhappy with it's appearance, but I can't justify an extreme makeover when I rarely spend time in the room. My laptop keeps me busy and when I'm on it, I'm sitting next to Grant on the couch, not cooped up in the office. I love my office. I love the window and it's a nice light room, but I rarely have need to spend much time in there. Maybe one day when I'm working from home full time it will be a necessity. Actually, I'm sure it will be.
But for right now, I'll show you the details...because there isn't much to show for the rest of the room...
This cabinet is my favorite spot in the room. I really love the glass doors covered in frosted drawn Shakespeare inspired doodles. It's one thing I found at Ikea that seemed somewhat unique (compared to the masses of cheap furniture throughout the store). Don't get me wrong, I love Ikea....it's just hard to find anything unique there. (Oh and this is just a small amount of my nesting dolls. I have a TON more :P)
My desk is covered in Blythe customization accessories. Spray Mattes, eyechips, glitters and paint brushes. It's where I used to sit and paint on my blythe doll's eyeshadow, lips or customize their eyes. Nowadays, I never have time for this fun activity. It's something I miss.
My kewpie collection continues to grow. I have quite a few scattered throughout the house. They remind me of my childhood as I had a Kewpie growing up that I just loved.
My expedit holds all of my toys on top. My dollies, my vinyl figurines, my toy cameras and everything in between have their resting spot here. Sometimes I wonder about painting in there. The amount of colors in all the toys might make the room just TOO busy!
And this is what happens when you rummage through 3 bins trying to find a single strip of fabric.....this mess has been here for far too long and, as you will notice, my poor yarn is yanked all over the place. I can thank the dog for that. I have to remember to ALWAYS close the door. -_-
Last, but not least is the view out the window. I get to creep on the neighbor's backyard. Pretty cool huh? Even better when they are two of mine and Grant's friends. How cool is it have friends live next door?!?
Anyways, hope you enjoyed this chaotic and messy view of my office. Have a great Tuesday everyone....I'm off to shoot a stylized session tonight and I could not be more excited about it ;)
