I've been really obsessing over plants and my little succulents lately. I was never good with taking care of flowers and plants (I always killed them), but I have been doing better with my newest additions and these green/blue sweeties look so lovely in my kitchen.
My husband I have spent more time in gardening stores lately and recently decided to get some carnivorous plants. I used to have a couple venus flytraps as a kid, but I'm pretty sure me and my brother over-fed it to death. Poor thing just couldn't stop eating ants. But my husband was extra excited about having one since he didn't really know it wa something you could plant yourself (apparently he just read about them in school but never knew you could actually have one). Haha! He has all these ideas of feeding it super bugs and getting the plant so big that we could feed it meat....unfortunately, that's not how it works. ;)
Anyways, we have it under a little glass cloche right now and it's doing so well. Hasn't formed a top yet, but it is growing up nice and tall. We actually planted 2. A venus flytrap and a pitcher plant. Can't wait to see them in full bloom!
