I did a session earlier this week and have been trying a lot of fun techniques with it. You want to see how I edited this one? Here's the steps I took to achieve this pinkish glow.
First I played with my levels and lightened and darkened the shadows of the image.
Next I used selective color to edit the greens in the image. I gave them a bit more of a cyan tone.
Next, I create a new layer and used a large soft brush tool to paint on pink tones. I painted different areas with different opacities. I used 100 percent opacity around her head.
Next I selected this pink layer and changed the layer type to "hard light". There is a drop down menu with these options in your layers window.
Next I opened up Hue/Saturation and played with the hue bar. I gave it a warmer tone.
Next, I opened Brightness/Contrast and bumped up the contrast and lessened the brightness.
Now I opened up the Exposure and played with the Gamma Correction and Offset to bring in a more foggy tone.
Next I applied a custom Photoshop Action I created and voila, done! The last action added a slight gray tone to my image.
What do you think? I definitely stepped outside of my comfort zone on this one, but I really love how warm and sweet it is. I also edited it in a more realistic fashion....
