I love getting a pumpkin every year. It doesn't feel like fall until we have them. With the trip to Japan taking up a lot of our time and effort in September and early October, I never really got into fall decor, food, etc. as much this year. But I got all my fall stuff out last week, we picked pumpkins and now I finally feel like it's that time of year. It's been a little warm here too which hasn't made it feel very fall-like.
Last Saturday we were able to hang out with our friends Brittany and Tim and grab some pumpkins at a local fall festival (more like low budget hay ride without hay, pumpkin picking without a patch, etc. etc.). We still had fun and we ended getting one for each of our little family, Me, Grant and Marshmallow!
I hope this is a tradition we stick with every year. We used to go almost every year when I was a kid and I always looked forward to it as soon as that chill hit in late September. I just got done looking at last years' pumpkin picking adventures with our friends and it's crazy how much the kids have grown up! And one of these little squirts (Addie) wasn't even born yet. Time flies...
What's your favorite fall tradition?
