Well, we are back from Japan and wow, was it an amazing trip! Words can't describe how blessed and excited I was to be there. Like I told the bride, "That's so cute!" passed through my lips over 50 times while we were there....
We saw everything. We were taken to Kyoto to see ancient temples and relics from early AD. I got to play with deer that acted more like dogs in Deer Park. We went to the tops of the mountains at night just to see the lights of Osaka. We went shopping to stores I have only dreamed about seeing. I tried a million new foods and more than any other thing, got to spend a lot of time with the bride Yukari's family. They were absolutely more than accomodating during our trip. We couldn't have spent time with a more wonderful family.
As for the wedding...one look and you can tell that this was more than your average wedding. Everything about that day was stunningly beautiful. Yukari looked like a dream. Her and her husband were both so happy and it was a very family oriented event. So much love all around!
Her dress literally had me gasping when I saw it. Yeah, those ladies on Say Yes to the Dress ain't seen nothing yet. This dress was more than unique. And she fit with it so well. Doesn't she just look like a couture bridal model? I think so.
The ceremony and reception all took place in this beautiful hotel in the Osaka area. The same hotel her parents were married in! The spots for photos was endless. I have far too many photos to share and still SO many that I haven't yet seen. Editing is going to be a blast.
The bride switched dresses half way into the reception which was super fun!
I cannot wait to share more stories and post more images from this beautiful day and all the days we spent there. For now, I will just share a tiny preview. I will try my best to not turn this blog into Blythe Ponytail Parades Japan Style for the next month. Bare with me. ;)
