Hello lovely Blythe Ponytail Parades readers! My name is Kitty and I can normally be found blogging over at
Kitty & Buck. I am so happy and excited that Violet is on an amazing trip in Japan and that she has opened her blog to me today. Since I live in Australia, I am experiencing the first signs of Spring, the scent of flowers blooming, a new warmth in the air and the option to enjoy the great outdoors. I was feeling a little envious of everyone talking about Fall and pumpkin pies, so I thought I'd share what is happening in my part of the world.
The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney are showing Spring colour at the moment, so I wandered down with my camera to soak it up. I love the four seasons statues, so I thought I'd start with the lovely lady Spring to get you in the mood!
How beautiful are these daffodils sprinkled amongst the purple blooms?

These hanging plants were amazing, I've never seen them before, but I imagine they turn into a weeping blossom of some sort. Or perhaps they are birdseed :)
The tulips are so pretty, I would love to go to Holland and see the fields of colourful tulips that grow there, imagine how beautiful it would be.
If you walk to the edge of the gardens, you can look over Sydney Harbour, there are plenty of wooden benches nestled in amongst the trees overlooking the water. I love spending lunchtime here away from the bustle of the city, it is very calming and a reflective place.
My favourite flowers are the cherry blossoms. These are probably so beautiful because the tree displays the flowers without any distractions like leaves! There are so many colours as well, but I do love the deep pink the best. Once more, I would love to travel, this time to Japan during the Sakura Festival around April to see the spectacular displays.
I hope you enjoyed my pictures of spring, please feel free to stop by
my blog sometime and say hi! Thanks for reading :)
