I LOVE books (especially antique books). I have been collecting them since I was really young. Maybe 9...I always wanted to have a room where the walls were completely covered in book shelves and to have the room filled with old books. When I look at old books or read them, I feel like I am stepping into someone else's history and I sit and wonder what other people read this book and when? I get much more engulfed in the story and something about it has always had a huge pull on me.
My collection is ENORMOUS as of now and we have a few shelves up in our living room holding a small portion. One day, I will have that room of my dreams, but for now, they make a pretty additon to any room.
My favorite of all the books I own is a tie between my super old German pocket Bible and my copy of Evangeline from the 1800s (pictured above on the right). It's one of my favorite books and I have treasured it for many years. I would love to have a daughter named Evangeline one day...it's been a favorite name of mine since I first read the book in elementary school.
