It has been rainy, rainy, rainy lately. Yesterday was a gorgeous wedding and after many prayers, the rain ceased for the day just in time for pictures. I couldn't have been more thrilled! And as if God had been holding it off as long as He could, it started to pour as the couple left for the evening cooling down the outdoor reception.
On Friday, before me and my husband headed out for a dinner and movie date night (saw the Great Gatsby FINALLY and LOVED it), he was sweet enough to take these outfit shots. And though it started to rain when we were ready for pictures, I thought that the red umbrella was a nice touch. I have to tell you, I am so SO excited to share this outfit!
I had the great priviledge to wear this adorable skirt c/o Tailor and Stylist and this custom necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs. I feel so classy in this skirt. It has that perfect bell shape and puffs out without having a bunch of crinoline or layers underneath. I am seriously enamored. And it goes with almost anything! I was having the hardest time narrowing down the top to go with it. So many things just worked. It is an absolute new favorite! I am excited to try it with different tops/shoes/color combinations.
And as for the necklace (see close up shot below), I couldn't be more pleased. I've never had anything personalized like this before and when I chose this piece, I knew I wanted something extra special written on it. How about my sweet husband's name? :) I have been wearing it constantly and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It is something I will treasure for a long time. I love having a piece of jewelry that's meaninful. Doesn't have to be expensive, fine pearls or diamonds. I am not a very fanciful kind of girl. But special jewelry is always best. A BIG thanks to Lisa Leonard Designs for letting me model such a gorgeous piece!
